Nourishment.
The food we eat should be cleansing, regenerating, energizing, and blissful. I recommend a high-raw, whole food, plant based diet, in alignment with The Word of Wisdom. Here you will find a listing of some of my favorite nutrition preparations with suggestions for use.
Juicy
Yummy, cleansing fluid nutrition! Ideal for breakfast, but great anytime of day.
Pumpkin Pie in a Bowl (Revisited)
Recipe by Natalia Rose from her book Detox 4 Women
32 ounces fresh carrot juice**
1 cup raw sweet potato, peeled and diced
Stevia (to taste)***
1/2 avacado, pitted
1/2-1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (to taste)
1-2 handfuls baby spinach (optional, my addittion)
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Can warm up to 115 degrees (warm, but can hold your finger in it comfortably). I like to pour it in a cup and drink it.
**You can juice carrots by blending them with some water and straining out the pulp using a mesh/nut milk bag.
***My kids enjoyed it with chocolate flavored liquid stevia. ALSO, I just discovered the yumminess of this frozen into popsicles!
Anytime Meals
These preparations make excellent lunches and dinners.
Favorite Roasted Beets
By Holly
3 large beets, scrubbed, tops removed
1 TBS butter or coconut oil
½-1 dropperful liquid Stevia
About ¼ cup water
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Put the butter in a glass oblong (13”) baking dish and place in the oven for butter to melt. Meanwhile, prep beets and place on a cutting board. Slice them lengthwise, then lay them on their flat sides and slice into thin half-moons. Take baking dish from oven and add Stevia and water, you just need enough water to cover the entire bottom of the pan. Add beets and toss well. Place in the oven for about 40 minutes. Take them out halfway through and toss them in the water mixture so they don’t burn. Toss again before serving.
Sweets
Nutrient dense and cleansing, these treats are EXTRA sweet!
